trying...to...pause

but i can't.

the post explaining my abrupt disappearance has been hovering in draft mode since august.

h-o-v-e-r-i-n-g.

sort of like levitating...

like i am as i run from place to space on legs that feel like a winded (and aging!) cartoon character.

tonight, after the guilt from not replying to inquiring emails weighed down my heart, i'm here to tell you  that i'm   f  i  n  e.

and.... i'm  f i n a l l y  back to focusing on my children more than my chalk paint and my husband more than my hurried blog post.

yes, yes, YES i miss writing and painting and commenting and linking and oohing over delish details painted to perfection.

BUT.

opportunity knocked, an empty 6th classroom needed a language arts teacher... and i'm on a chase after my other-other-other passion.

harried and hurried...and happily chasing.

so, what have you been chasing lately??

well I wondered where you were! So are you teaching full time then? I'm so glad that you're back, blogging is like drinking. You can take a break and come back to the trough anytime. Bar's always open.

I've done the same thing. I love furniture and will continue to do some custom work on the weekends, but now that I'm back working full time in Real Estate in Los Angeles, things have gotten kind of hectic. I hate the give up time with my kids and my husband for a piece of furniture. So now we do it as it comes and I'm not out fighting to get it. I'm glad you found another passion and I'm sure you'll be back from time to time.

Hey Amy!
Good for you...sounds like your new world is treating you well. I'm happy that things have fallen into place so nicely. It's as it should be. Good girl to listen to the voice within. :)

Could you humor those of us who were waiting for the move to all get done and you settled in and do a teeny tiny pictorial on the new digs? I just gotta see the place all done and find out your favorite parts and what you would change.

Oh my goodness. I thought your silence was due to the endless work of settling in a new home. I never thought you might have taken on a job teaching. You are incredible! How is it going? So glad to know that family comes first for you! So glad to get an update.

Glad you're okay. I REALLY started to worry after I didn't hear back from the e-mail I sent. I'm happy you're happy and harried and hurried. Are you teaching at Corinth Holders or in Clayton? Smithfield? Selma? How are you liking your new surroundings??? Have you had one of those hot dogs yet? ;)

So happy for you that you got to take a break and teach again. It is so good to keep a hand in this. I have missed you so much! You have been on my mind and I went searching for you this morning. Apparently I am not subscribed by email, or I would have seen this an entire month ago!

I hope your family is well. Your dad? I think about all of this. When you have time I would love to hear from you, even if isn't until next year. -K
