blog: fabulousness and "fame"

i did not start blogging to make friends.

i did not start blogging to write.

i did not start blogging to fill a space in my day...

or to share my fabulous life with people...

or to teach people about the fabulous ways to paint furniture...

or to take on the world with my fabulous lowercase letters...

or to become rich and famous for... umm... some fabulous thing.

via

it's been eight months and fourteen days since i published my first post.

i accidentally made friends.

i accidentally love writing.

i accidentally love italics...too much.  almost as much as i love to incorrectly use ellipsis... and the lower case.

i accidentally have 15 pages of results when i google my own name.

i accidentally may not be hired to teach in any school district wise enough to google my name.

i'm not typing from atop a heap of cash nor am i famous....

         WAIT!!

i am!  okay, i sort of accidentally am.

in my teeny, weeny corner of the blogiverse i've been offered my 15 minutes!

yes, kelly and karianne--the dust bunny divas from eclectically vintage and thistlewood farm--are pushing the limits and breaking the blogiverse silence with over-laughing and bad news about bed bugs.

uh-huh, it's true!

no joke.  fer totally real.

with ME.

O U T L O U D so you can hear it.  together!  okay, not together together but on the phone together.

of course, you will be sad that you are not over-laughing with us but listening to us babble and giggle is the next best thing, right?

so, c'mon.... click on one of their buttons and join the fun!

(tee-hee-snort-hee-hee!)

8 months - I'm right behind you at 7 and Kari is 6. Three babies who found some funny friends!

I accidentally did all those things too - who knew blogging could be so fun!

Now I'm off to the megaphone store - gotta be able to be heard over Kari!

Oh yes, I wanted to reach through that damn podcast and interrupt and snort and uh-huh and woka, woka, woka with you! It was a pleasure and time well spent ignoring my children's needs...

Wait, so why did you start blogging? You only listed the non-reasons.

I laughed so loudly at 6:10am, that I woke up 2 of my kiddos. I felt like I WAS right there with ya!! I started mine Sept 13th., so maybe we should throw a month-long, 1 year blogaversary party when it comes time. (if you can still remember the little people that is - ha!) ~L

I thought that podcast totally rocked! Your blog-beginning sounds much like mine. I wanted to get myself out there to sell furniture, but I also wanted to connect with other women who were like-minded. I also read blogs for about a year without commenting...much. I really appreciated the newbie blogger advice. I've only been blogging about 4-5 weeks now and I still don't have an "about me" page...basically...because I'm too lazy to write it! Anyhoo, you're a hoot and I look forward to your blog hitting my in-box every day!

Hi Amy, I listened to "A Dustbunny Life" at KeriAnne's. What a fun and interesting podcast!
So nice to get to know you! I love the advice you gave new bloggers to find their own voice! Do you live in Pa? I do, in Lancaster County.
I'll be back because I am a new follower!

I laugh every time I read KariAnne's posts...and now I have another place to go to and have some great giggles and downright belly busting laughter...I so loved the pod cast...I just hope they continue because it is wonderful to hear a voice behind the written word....and the laughter too...

As I stated in your previous post...I am a very happy new follower!

Gotta love someone who's turned-on by a hard g! I'm here via Thistlewood Farm and Eclectically Vintage. Loved your podcast interview and now am lovin' your blog and furniture. (Lots of loving going on this morning!)

Great interview! It's fun to get to know a little more about the person behind the blog. When I first started blogging, I didn't tell anyone either. Most of my friends just don't get the blog thing. I guess us bloggers are a different breed.
