yep, it'th my new therieth called "thorta therious thurthday"... dedicated to all the former lithperthz in the world who--like my mom and thon--were methodically de-lithped by attending thpeech therapy in elementary thchool.  thorry, no time to thtart a "rethtore 'da lithp" coalition ath the prethident of the "acKnowledge the K Kampaign" hath gone MIA tho i'm picking up the thlack.

okay, that's enough of the "s"="th" crap.  what i said was, "the sorta serious subject for this thursday is bloggers who take risks".

noooo, not like skydiving or frying bacon naked.  the writing kind of risks.

as a newbie blog trawler, i found that i was drawn to some of the bloggers that took risks and put their flaws and opinions "out there" for the blogiverse inhabitants to love or leave.  let's face it, bloggers have the privilege of chosen anonymity at the start and can reveal themselves to their audience at their own pace.

for me, these are a few of the bloggers that threw their personalities into their blogs headfirst through honest--and not always flattering--posts and photos as well as not fearing the ruffling of a few feathers along the way.


my good buddy gwen of the bold abode has VIDEOTAPED (multiple times!) herself performing a variety of original (uh-huh!) mad libs from famed bloggers, ya know, like me... all done with her white-trash-gone-rapper-sporadic-scarlett o'hara-accent.  she cracks me the hell up about five times a day and i've yet to meet her in person.

jake at a to z eclectic is a stay-at-home-creative-photographer-furniture-painting-dad that can write funny s#*@ with big words.  i like that.  why he doesn't have a zillion followers is beyond me.  his photos are too-die-for.  i love sundays when jake posts his "selfie" portraits.  here's my fave....

how can you NOT like this guy?  huh?  okay, the hairy legs are a bit intimidating... but you haven't seen this week's selfie.



i'm not sure how i found mom and her drill but i scroll straight to her spot on my google reader just to see her latest crazy project.  katy is a mechanical engineer who works full-time while SOLO parenting three young kids, fixing up her house, redoing a friend's kitchen FOR FREE and posting every now and again.  oh, and don't even get me started on her piece-of-@$#t ex-husband.  (arrrgh!)  instead, let's focus on the AMAZING pallet wall she built ALL BY HERSELF.
